Danielle Radulovich-Nelson is co-owner of Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapels in NE Minneapolis, Blaine and Maple Grove.
As a funeral director for 13 years in the longtime family business, Radulovich-Nelson has embraced an evolution in funeral services today, helping those who grieve remember loved ones in a deeply personal or creative way.
She’s passionate about offering ideas and guidance as more modern day families reinvent remembrance. Recent services for a dedicated sports fan included a memorial tailgate and hot dog bar, and for a man who loved yardwork, a lawnmower carried his ashes to a final resting place.
“I really enjoy allowing a family to explore unique and creative options when planning their loved ones funeral, memorial or reception. The moment the light bulb goes on and the family gets excited on an idea is what memorialization should be about,” said Radulovich-Nelson.
Radulovich Nelson’s vision has been the driving force behind the company’s expansion to the northern Twin Cities, and push towards reception-style events at all of their locations to accommodate a true celebration of life.
When she’s not serving families, Radulovich-Nelson is devoted to her own family. She lives in Blaine with her husband, daughter and son, and together, they love to travel, spend time exploring and eat out!
A special note from Aging But DANGEROUS! Meeting and working with Danielle has been one of the highlights of 2016! Founder Jean Ketcham “discovered” her after interviewing numerous potential funeral homes. As a woman in a traditionally male dominated industry, Danielle clearly brings a creative, dynamic twist to an often staid life experience. We consider her an “AgingButDANGEROUS Trainee” and feel blessed to work with her!!
