ABD Travel Adventures:   Announcing the 2019 trips - Aging But DANGEROUS!

We are thrilled to announce the

Aging But Dangerous Travel Adventures for 2019.

We know ABD women love to travel, experiencing the world and developing new friends.  As a result, Lynne Hardey, our Travel Coordinator, has worked diligently to create some interesting trips both within the USA and around the world.  We are so excited and Jean Ketcham is planning her travel wardrobe!

First up – a women-only adventure because we want ABD members and followers from all over the country to have an opportunity to meet on this trip.  Travel is one thing we can do together whether you start from MN or TX or anywhere else. Our travel partner will arrange your air travel from anywhere to connect with the group.

COSTA RICA – February 5-18, 2019   ABD WOMEN ONLY adventure trip

This is a wonderful winter break trip. Costa Rica is a beautiful, vibrant country which prides itself on its natural resources and eco-friendly tourism. Most Costa Ricans understand English and the majority also speak it. That makes travel there very easy for anyone new to international travel. We will visit volcanoes, rainforests, national parks and biological reserves. You’ll have the opportunity to go horseback riding or river rafting or zip-lining as well as tour the capital, San Jose. The birds and animals like iguanas and monkeys are a delight for the eyes and we cover a large part of the country.

Cost for this 14 day trip is $2,895 (airfare will be quoted from your nearest airport.)

Reservation deposit: $350.00

You can also add a post-trip extension to Tortuguero National Park on the Caribbean side of the country – the ultimate rain forest experience.

October 1-13, 2019   An “easy” rated, relaxing cruise trip

In the fall, we have a special offering: a wonderful River Cruise from Paris through Burgundy and Provence to the French Riviera.  Our river ship is a very limited capacity vessel (only 46 passengers) and we have reserved only 10 cabins (no single supplement available) so you will easily meet all the other travelers. We have time to explore Paris before heading south through Burgundy along the Route des Vins (Wine Road) to embark the ship in Macon. We cruise partly in daytime and mostly at night so you get a wonderful sample of life on the river. We visit Lyon, Vienne, Avignon and Arles, each with its different charms. Wine tasting, French cooking lessons and Introductory French language lessons are included. The cruise concludes in Arles and we journey by coach to Nice on the French Riviera. There we have a chance to explore this lovely and famous resort area.

Cost for this 13 day trip starts at $4,659 .  Again airfare can be arranged from anywhere to connect with the group.  This trip will book fast so reserve your place or cabin today!  Remember, we will not have the entire boat only our 10 cabins (20 ABD travelers) and you can bring your spouse, partner or friend. Or we will find a roommate for you if you like. Only $500.00 per person to hold your place.
